Undoubtedly the best Personal Trainer I have ever used. She was highly recommended by a colleague who knows a thing or two about sport, but I had no idea just how good she was until the first few sessions.
She is thorough, well prepared and displays dedication to a level I have never encountered before. She delivers an holistic approach to wellbeing, providing a training program tailored to your own personal goals, dietary advice and unique weekly schedules that fit around your lifestyle (and motivation).

I cannot recommend Ali Carrington highly enough. I started having sessions with Ali when I had been diagnosed with a badly torn disc and knew that I would be undergoing a disc replacement operation within the next six months. I could no longer play the competitive netball and tennis that I loved nor could I use the equipment in the gym but wanted to stay strong so I could make the quickest possible recovery from my operation.
Ali planned sessions for me (“prehab“) that did not include high impact exercises but strengthened my upper body, legs and core muscles in a pain free way.
Within a couple of days of having the operation, I was able to walk around easily and even climb the stairs – the consultants and physios were surprised at the progress I had made so early and said it was because my body was so strong prior to the operation. I know this was completely thanks to the regular sessions I had with Ali and now I am about to start my proper rehab with her too. CAROLINE, EAST SHEEN
I worked with Ali four years ago when she helped me shed weight and gain stamina to enable me to run a marathon, which was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. However, following the race, I fell back into old habits and, with the pressures of a growing family and changing job; I stopped exercising and lost my way. This year I decided to make a change and contacted Ali about starting again. At first I was worried she would be disappointed that I hadn’t kept up her good work, but she has been nothing but supportive. I am now eating healthier and running again with the London 10k firmly in my sights. She has focused on strengthening my core and, since we last trained together, has added more to her training methods. Her style makes the sessions fun but I am worked hard and can really feel, and see, the results. I started training with Ali eight weeks after giving birth, with the goal of attaining my pre-pregnancy body in time for my wedding just five months later. Having not exercised at all during my pregnancy was initially nervous of my capability but Ali started slow and adapted as I got stronger. Here was a huge feel good feeling, not only from exercising but also of being outside and thinking about me rather than the baby. I easily achieved my goal and more in time for my wedding. I felt better about my body shape and general fitness level then, than I had in years.
I am now 28 weeks pregnant with my second child and still enjoying the weekly routine. Ali’s knowledge of post and pre natal training is incredibly reassuring and I leave the sessions feeling healthier and full of energy. FAYE, TWICKENHAM
Training with Ali as part of her Buggy mums groups has been brilliant. Because of the attention Ali gives to each individual, exercises and classes can be adapted to meet everyone’s needs. This meant I was able to train after the birth of baby no 1, throughout the pregnancy of baby no 2 and then with both my boys. The classes can be adapted to meet the needs of the babies’ ages as much as the needs of the mum resulting in a much more productive class. I contacted Ali Carrington with the specific aim of becoming match fit for netball after pregnancy and the c-section delivery of my twins. Ali’s experience in netball at a high level ensured she had a better understanding of the demands netball has on your body and in the strength and agility required to play competitively. Ali’s sessions were very much tailored to my goals and were challenging and creative, and surprisingly fun, I even looked forward to them!!! Ali was organised, well-researched, safe and encouraging – she also showed an interest in my performance during matches and continues to provide me with advice on netball game play as well as general fitness.
As a new mother with a young family I have a very limited time to train and Ali recognises this by setting tailored challenges to carry out in addition to our sessions to ensure I used my time efficiently. After the first six sessions with Ali, the results were remarkable – my fitness had improved dramatically as had my core strength, confidence and energy. Before starting with Ali, I had joined gyms and gone to classes, but nothing stuck and the weight just piled on. I had lost any hope of ever being fit and happy with the way I looked. My partner contacted Ali as a surprise – it was the best gift ever. When I first met Ali, I wanted to learn to exercise in a way that didn’t depend on me joining things and could be sustained for the rest of my life. That is precisely what I got.
